Ziroru Studio is a Brooklyn-based design practice founded by Iranian-American designer Shiva Farrokhi, creating furniture and objects that balance thoughtful functionality with a refined sensibility and a subtle sense of play.

The studio’s work is guided by the idea of simplicity through refinement; drawing from the Persian concept of سهل و ممتنع (effortless in appearance, complex in thought). Each piece seeks to bring a fresh perspective to the familiar by rethinking how things function, appear, and are made; often resulting in objects that feel intuitive, unexpected, and quietly expressive.

Ziroru’s debut collection, Linea, launched at ICFF in 2025. The Glow Coffee Table from the collection received a Domino Good Design Award and a Special Mention in TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025.

Pronounced "Zero Roo" | Ziroru (زیرورو) in Persian literally means "under and over," but as an expression, it signifies transformation.
